Study on the relationship between trace elements and active ingredients in Radix Paeoniae Alba and evaluation of grey indidence degree
Objective:Determination of the contents of 24 trace elements and 7 components in the medicinal plant Radix Paeoniae Alba which grew the different areas,to discuss the relationships between its various constituents,so as to provide a reference for the quality control of Radix Paeoniae Alba. Methods:Microwave digestion-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICp-MS) was used for the determination of the contents of trace elements and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for the determination of the contents of gallic acid,albiflorin,paeoniflorin,1,2,3,4,6-penta-o-galloylbeta-d-glucopyranose,benzoic acid, benzoyl paeoniflorin, paeonol.Grey incidence degree and correlation analysis method were employed to sort the quality of Radix Paeoniae Alba from the different areas and analyze the relationship between the contents of main components and trace elements. Results:There were certain differences and correlations between the principal components and the content of trace elements in Radix Paeoniae Alba from different areas. Conclusion:Grey incidence degree method, correlation analysis method, and the models could evaluate the quality of Radix Paeoniae Alba.
