ZHANG Jing-yue,one of famous TCM medical experts in Ming Dynasty,draw on others successful experiences and further innovated these experiences,so that he gradually gave unique insights into the internal medicine,surgery,gynecology,pediatrics,et al.In terms of andrology,ZHANG creatively proposed many ideas including vital gate theory,union of yin and yang,preserving health when sexual intercourse,syndrome differentiation and treatment in TCM andrology diseases,and male reproduction,et al.In current study,we explored his academic contribution on the TCM andrology from the view of theory,which will benefit to the development of TCM andrology and even whole TCM academy.
