Discussion on the evolution of the connotation of original qi in traditional Chinese medicine
The authors hold that in the ancient literature of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),the original qi of TCM has the connotation of congenital qi,acquired qi and successively natural qi.Among them, the congenital original qi includes the qi of life gate and kidney qi,the acquired original qi refers to the qi of spleen and stomach, and the successively natural original qi refers to yuan qi.Among the many connotations of the original qi,the connotation of taking the original qi as the innate qi of the gate of life is most commonly used by ancient doctors. At present, the original qi of TCM has been replaced by the original qi,which mainly has the connotation of natural qi successively, and the connotation that the original qi was originally the innate qi of the gate of life has been gradually weakened.
