The doctrine of Fuyang originated from the Zhou Yi,Huangdi Neijing and Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases,which was continuously explored and developed by many physicians in later dynasties and generations,reaching its peak in the Qing dynasty,forming a complete and mature theoretical basis and practical system.The most famous one is the'Fuyang school',which was founded by the famous Sichuan doctor ZHENG Qin'an in the late Qing dynasty.He made good use of large doses of ginger,Rougui and Fuzi in his practice.It also profoundly influenced his direct disciples,the LU family,as well as representative figures of the Fuyang school including WU Peiheng,ZHU Weiju,FAN Zhonglin and LI Ke.
