Clinical efficacy observation of electroacupuncture cycle therapy combined with clomiphene citrate treatment based on the theory of'Ren zhu Baotai'on polycystic ovary syndrome
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture cycle therapy combined with clomiphene citrate based on the theory of'Ren zhu Baotai'on polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Methods:A total of 116 patients were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group,with 58 cases in each group.The control group was treated with clomiphene citrate,and the experimental group was treated with electroacupuncture cycle therapy based on'Ren zhu Baotai'on the combination of the control group.Acupuncture treatment was performed 3 times a week,menstrual cease acupuncture,one menstrual cycle for a course of treatment,lasted for 3 courses.Ovulation rate,serum sex hormone level,pregnancy rate,dominant follicle size,and early abortion rate were observed before and after treatment.Results:After treatment,the ovulation rate,dominant follicle size,and pregnancy rate in the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group(P＜0.05),but there was no significant difference in the early abortion rate between the two groups.The improvement of serum sex hormone levels(except luteinizing hormone)in the experimental group was significantly better than the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Electroacupuncture cycle therapy combined with clomiphene citrate based on the theory of'Ren zhu Baotai'can effectively improve the serum sex hormone level of PCOS patients,reduce the high testosterone level,promote the growth of dominant follicles,and improve the clinical ovulation rate and pregnancy rate.
