Randomized cross-control study on the treatment of cancer pain by Dingxiang Zhitong Paste combined with three-step analgesic
Objective:A prospective, randomized, cross controlled, and double-blind design was used to explore the efficacy of Dingxiang Zhitong Paste in the treatment of cancer pain.Methods:58 cancer pain patients were selected for random grouping.Different groups were intervened with the trial(triple step painkiller+clove painkiller)and control group(triple step painkiller+placebo)in order.Numerical rating scale(NRS)scores, quality of life(QOL)scores, serological indicators and satisfaction scores were compared before and after treatment. Results:The comparison of NRS scores between two groups of patients with moderate pain showed that the NRS score of the experimental group after intervention was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Comparison of QOL scores between two groups of patients with moderate pain showed that the QOL score of the experimental group after intervention was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in serum indicators between the two groups of patients.Compared with the satisfaction scores of the two groups, patients were more satisfied with the treatment plan of the experimental group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Under the guidance of the theory of warming yang, the external application of clove analgesic ointment can improve the NRS score and quality of life in patients with moderate cancer pain.
