Preliminary study on the external treatment of Yi De Ji by buddhist doctor SHI Xinchan of Putuo Mountain
The book Yi De Ji was written in 1889 by buddhist doctor SHI Xinchan of Putuo Mountain in the Qing dynasty,among the treatise on external treatment and the cases of applying external treatment accounted for nearly one sixth.Through the discussion of the academic theory of external treatment in the Yi De Ji and the medical cases involving external treatment,this article summarized the four aspects of disease diagnosis and treatment,such as syndrome differentiation and treatment,each treatment following its own methods,innovation in respecting the classics,the three principles of laryngology,the use of herbal external therapy to treat pharyngeal diseases,correcting the mistakes of other doctors,and summarizing effective treatment methods.Organize and explore the academic experience of external treatment methods in treating diseases of SHI Xinchan:skilled in acupuncture and bloodletting therapy to treat excess heat syndrome,using moxibustion to treat yin cold syndrome,and following the six meridians when selecting acupoints,emphasizing the adaptation of the three factors and prioritizing external treatment for severe cases.Introduce the current status of the inheritance of local external treatment laws by citing two medical cases that followed the Yi De Ji external treatment principle.
