Analysis of unnamed prescriptions in Dunhuang Turpan medical literature
This paper took as its scope the volumes included in the Dunhuang Tulufan Medical Literature New Series School,by systematically excavating,organizing,and studying the unnamed prescriptions in this volume,the characteristics of these unnamed prescriptions were elaborated in terms of their origin,main treatment,medication,and dosage form.It is found that the 483 unnamed formulas,which are more complete,distributed in various papers such as the UK,France,Germany,etc..The main treatment involves multiple departments of internal and external medicine,gynecology,pediatrics,and males.In terms of medication,there are involve commonly used drugs,single drug use,as well as the many drugs without dosage.And the dosage form is rich,with both oral and external use.These unnamed prescriptions contain the wisdom and experience of the healers at that time,and the efforts of countless contemporary researchers in excavation and collation.It not only reflects the simple clinical practice of Chinese medicine practitioners and the real records of the use of Chinese medicine prescriptions by the folk in the Sui and Tang dynasties,it preserves the original style of early prescriptions and contains a large amount of medical information that has not been included in the handed-down literature.
