The present study delves into the origins and significance of Tai Chi,along with the fundamental principles of Tai Chi philosophy, while analyzing its impact on traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Tai Chi is regarded in Chinese culture as the primordial essence, symbolizing vastness and infinity. The elucidation of Tai Chi in the Book of Changes(Zhouyi)became a subject of exploration for later philosophers and scholars, leading to the formation of multiple philosophical interpretations.Tai Chi philosophy emphasizes the state of primordial chaos, along with the laws of rotation, transformation, and the interplay of opposing forces.Under the influence of Tai Chi philosophy,TCM has adopted celestial observation methods, grounding its holistic perspective on the cyclical changes of seasons and the rhythmic dance of the sun and moon.Tai Chi thinking also profoundly influences TCM's form-spirit philosophy of life, stressing the unity of form and spirit,as well as the harmonious unity between humans and nature.Overall,Tai Chi philosophy provides crucial theoretical foundations and cognitive paradigms for the development of TCM,exerting a significant influence on the formation and evolution of its theoretical framework.
