Research progress of manual therapy in the treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis
Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS)is a serious health hazard of the spine with a high prevalence in adolescents,with the main clinical manifestations being deformity of the three-dimensional structure of the spine,spinal pain and postural disorders.It has a varying degree of impact on the daily life and physical and psychological well-being of patients.At present,Tuina manipulation is widely used in clinical practice for the treatment of AIS because of its theoretical and methodological versatility and its unique advantages.This paper systematically collates and analyses the relevant research literature on manipulative treatment of AIS in recent years,outlines the research progress of manipulative treatment of AIS in terms of the understanding of AIS in Chinese medicine,the theoretical system and operational characteristics of manipulative treatment of AIS,and provides references and ideas for further in-depth clinical research and mechanism exploration of manipulative treatment of AIS.
