The theory of nine palaces and the eight diagrams in hand diagnosis is a characteristic diagnosis method to observe the color,shape,grain and other information after dividing the palms according to nine places and the eight diagrams.It is one of the mainstream theories of hand diagnosis.The seventy-two cases of palm diagram is a series of hand pictures spread in the late Tang dynasty,and it is an important theoretical origin of the theory of nine palaces and the eight diagrams in hand diagnosis.However,at present,the research on the seventy-two cases of palm diagram and the theory of nine palaces and the eight diagrams in hand diagnosis is not enough.This paper starts from the three dimensions of the development origin,diagnosis principles and contents of the seventy-two cases of palm diagram,with the nine palms as the core,focusing on the relevant physiological and pathological palm charts and combine the social representation of part of the palm map with the physiological and pathological state of the human body.Thus,this paper probes into the academic thought of nine palaces and the eight diagrams contained in the seventy-two cases of palm diagram,in order to provide reference for the retroactive and diagnostic research of hand diagnosis.
