'Lian Jing'method is a traditional Taoist health method,which is the basic requirement of Taoist practice.Heart failure is the end of a variety of cardiovascular diseases,which seriously threatens people's life,health and safety.Based on the literature records and the discussion of doctors in the past dynasties,this paper analyzes the connotation of'Lian Jing'method from two perspectives of cultivating essence or removing stagnant essence.At the same time,based on the modern understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of heart failure,the pathogenesis of heart failure is summarized as insufficient qi and heart displacement.Deficiency of qi remains stagnant,phlegm stasis endogenous.Lower jiao fire decay,yin essence lost solid.On the treatment of heart failure,combined with the essence of Taoist'Lian Jing'method,summed up the essence of Lian Jing and changing shape,regulationg ying and wei,remove stagnant essence and eliminate stagnation,insist on mental stability,with peace as the degree,three core treatment methods,in order to empower the modern traditional Chinese medicine heart failure clinical diagnosis and treatment ideas.
