古今升麻代犀角辨惑
Distinction on the application of ancient and modern Cimicifugae Rhizoma and Rhinoceros Horn

犀角作为古代医药典籍中常见的动物药,广泛运用于众多经典名方之中,现代临床运用和中药学教材中基本全以"水牛角"代之,但历史上还存在着"升麻""玳瑁"两种主要替代品,不过古代医家临证运用中并非所有犀角都是以水牛角替代,现代名家也常见以升麻代犀角使用,疗效显著.本研究通过梳理升麻代犀角的历史发展源流,考辨各家之说,认为升麻作为犀角在清热解毒方面有效、价格低廉、经验理论成熟的优良替代品,值得在临床中加以推广运用.
Abstract
Rhinoceros Horn,as a common animal medicine in traditional Chinese medicine classics,is widely used in numerous classic formulas.In modern clinical applications and Chinese medicine textbooks,it is mostly replaced by'Buffalo Horn'.However,there have been two substitutes in history,'Cimicifugae Rhizoma'and'Eretmochelydis Carapax'.Not all Rhinoceros Horns were replaced by Buffalo Horns in ancient medical practice.Modern experts also commonly use Cimicifugae Rhizoma instead of Rhinoceros Horn,which has significant therapeutic effects.This study examines the historical development of Cimicifugae Rhizoma instead of Rhinoceros Horn and examines various theories.It is believed that Cimicifugae Rhizoma,as an effective,inexpensive,and mature substitute for Rhinoceros Horn in clearing heat and detoxifying,is worth promoting and applying in clinical practice.
