Discussion on the academic thought of ZHANG Zhicong's Chinese herbal'six qi'theory
ZHANG Zhicong is the master of the Qiantang medical school in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The core content of his herbal qi-transformation theory is mainly embodied in Bencao Chongyuan.Currently, some scholars believe that ZHANGs'mainly explores the medicinal properties of traditional Chinese medicine through the method of'Ge Wu',while neglecting the study of ZHANG Zhicong's theory of medicinal properties from the perspective of the five elements and six qi theory in Huangdi Neijing.Through research, the author believes that ZHANG Zhicong's explained the herbal properties with the theory of five movements and six qi in Huangdi Neijing.Through the way of mindset of image, combined with the theory of yin and yang of five elements and the theory of five movements and six qi,he analyzed the'six qi'of herbs in order to explore the origin of herbs in qi-transformation.The'six qi'theory of Chinese medica provides a certain reference for later scholars to understand the relationship between prescriptions and syndromes in Zhohgjing's books, and provides a newperspective for the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, which deserves attentions and discussions.
