ZHANG Xichun,a famous physician from Yanzhao,is a great figure in the field of modern Chinese medicine,and his scholarship has important value.In recent years,many domestic scholars have carried out comprehensive research on it.Through literature search,more than 1 100 related papers in the past 20 years are found.This paper summarizes and analyzes the research situation in six aspects,including academic thought,prescription drug research,clinical experience,modern clinical,animal experiment,and data mining.Generally,five characteristics are found:there are more traditional studies and less modern research;more inheritance studies and less innovative research;more scattered studies and few systematic studies;more superficial studies and few in-depth studies;more theoretical studies and few clinical studies.This shows that behind ZHANG Xichun's active academic research,there are still many shortcomings.Therefore,it is recommended to aim at the inadequacy and pool wisdom to promote ZHANG Xichun's academic research to depth.
