As acute radiation injury began to burst in modern times,the TCM for its lack of specification.Because it has outside attack ability,rapid onset,thermal characteristics,easy injury yin and blood of the body,so this study thinks it belongs to the category of febrile disease of TCM.Acute radiation injury due to ionizing radiation is referred as'ionizing radiation toxin',a kind of febrile toxin evil.Ionizing radiation toxin has a single pathogenic condition.It is characterized by violence,easy straight in the middle-jiao and the kidney essence,serious injury and difficult to treat,even form malignant lesions if the poison is excessive.In this article,the concept and pathogenic characteristics of ionizing radiation toxin are discussed in depth,which is conducive to better use of TCM to prevent and treat it.
