Summary of experience in treating overweight/obese type 2 diabetes with ZHAO Jinxi syndrome differentiation based on mixed method
Objective:To study professor ZHAO Jinxi's experience in treating overweight/obese type 2 diabetes with syndrome differentiation,and to construct his clinical thinking and prescription characteristic theoretical model.Methods:A hybrid research method of convergence based on parallel triangulation was adopted.Quantitative research conducted frequency statistics,cluster analysis,association analysis and complex network of outpatient medical record data.Qualitative research uses interview and observation as data collection methods and procedural grounded theory as data analysis methods.Results:A total of 222 overweight/obese type 2 diabetes patients were included in the quantitative study.Shaoyang constitution,Jueyin constitution and Yangming constitution were more common.The most common syndromes were stagnation of heat,yin deficiency and blood stasis.The core prescriptions included Bupleuri Radix,Scutellariae Radix,Salviae Miltiorrhizae,Radix Et Rhizoma,Puerariae Lobatae Radix,Paeoniae Radix Alba,Prunellae Spica,Pinelliae Rhizoma Praeparatum,Faeces Bombycis,Litchi Semen,Glycyrrhizae Radix Et Rhizoma,Coptidis Rhizoma,Lycii Cortex,Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium,Agrimoniae Herba,Glehniae Radix,Poria,etc..Through three levels of coding,109 initial concepts,40 categories and 15 main categories were summarized in the qualitative research.Conclusion:Professor ZHAO Jinxi treating overweight/obese type 2 diabetes clinical thinking mode and characteristics of the formulas is passing on SHI Jinmo school academic thinking of diagnosis and treatment of diabetes,right from three yin and three yang physique,to grasp the disease pathogenesis,different stages based on the virtual emphasizes the reality based on syndrome differentiation and constitution differentiation syndrome,general belly,prescription modifications focus on the combined use of two or three traditional Chinese medicines,as well as emphasize the application based on the pharmacology of traditional Chinese medicine.
