Exploration and analysis on the clinical thoughts of Adjusting Reversal and Harmonizing Decoction
Based on the inheritance of YAOs'academic thought,the author has summarized the empirical formula for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)through many years of clinical practice,which is the Adjusting Reversal and Harmonizing Decoction.The idea originates from the Suwen·Reversing and Harmonizing Concepts,which stresses that only when the internal organs are in harmonized operational status,the qi(inner energy)will be regulated,and the physiological functions can be normal,and if the qi does not follow the physiological momentum and runs in an opposite way,that is reversal.In particular,if the qi in the liver,gallbladder,spleen and stomach does not follow the normal path,it will lead to pathological manifestations such as spleen and gastric disorder,poor functions of liver and gallbladder,and unfavorable reflections on the face.According to the theory,the six non-conformities are proposed,i.e.,non-connection,incompatibility,non-conformity,non-adequacy,non-nourishment,non-smoothness,and the academic concept of'non-conformities are all reversal'is established.The medicine formula of Adjusting Reversal and Harmonizing Decoction aims at regulating the qi in the middle Jiao(the middle energizer that separate the upper organs and the lower organs),and obtains unique evidence for the treatment of gastric distension,hiccups and acid reflux.This herbal decoction is clinically proved to be effective not only for gastroesophageal reflux disease,but also for diseases of the whole digestive system.It is suitable for any symptom of gastric distension,hiccups and acid reflux,which also fully embodies the characteristics of its academic thoughts.
