Characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine constitution distribution in 922 infertility patients
Objective:To investigate the distribution of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)constitution in 922 infertility patients.Methods:The patients who were diagnosed as infertility by TCM constitution identification from October 2019 to June 2022 in the TCM Clinic of Maternity and Child Health Hospital of Hubei Province were selected,their general conditions were recorded,and the distribution of their TCM constitution and its relationship with age,duration and type of infertility was analyzed.Results:Yang deficiency was the highest proportion of infertility patients in TCM constitution[27.33%(252/922)],followed by calmness,qi depression and damp heat,etc..Infertility patients with double clip constitution were more common than single constitution,and the double clip constitution was mostly characterized by yang deficiency and qi depression,and qi deficiency.The proportion of phlegm dampness in primary infertility patients was higher than that in secondary infertility patients(P<0.05),the proportion of damp heat in 21-27 years old group was the highest(P<0.05),and the proportion of blood stasis in 42-48 years old group was the highest(P<0.05).Conclusion:Yang deficiency is a type of constitution with high incidence of infertility,and the formation of different constitutions may be related to the type and age of infertility.
