Study on distribution characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome of metabolic syndrome with abnormal blood glucose based on factor analysis
Objective:To analyze and explore the the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome distribution characteristics of normal and abnormal glycemic level in metabolic syndrome(MS).Methods:By epidemiological survey method, the four diagnostic information of 449 patients with metabolic syndrome were collected, and they were divided into normal and abnormal groups based on glycemic level, and the obtained symptoms were analyzed by using factor analysis method. We extracted common Chinese medical evidence elements by combining with professional knowledge. Results:Through factor analysis,17 common factors were obtained in each of the two groups. After preliminary analysis, the main syndrome elements involved phlegm-dampness,fire-heat,qi stagnation, blood stasis,qi deficiency, yin deficiency, yang deficiency, etc.,the main locationelements involed spleen, liver, kidney, and heart,etc..The distribution of syndrome elements and symptoms in the two groups had a certain degree of differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:Based on factor analysis of the four diagnostic information of patients with metabolic syndrome,it has some reference value for the study of TCM syndrome distribution characteristics at glycemic level of this disease.
