New research on Tang dynasty's version of Shanghan Lun
Currently, the academic community regards volume nine and volume ten of the Song corrected version of Qian Jin Yi Fang as the Tang edition of Tang dynasty's version of Shanghan Lun.It is believed that they were compiled by SUN Simiao and to some extent reflect the characteristics of the Tang dynasty's Shanghan Lun.The article examines the methods and content of the compilation of Qian Jin Yi Fang by the Northern Song dynasty's Correction Bureau of Medical Books,as well as the knowledge background of SUN Qi,the main editor, and the principles and methods used in his compilation of the three books of ZHANG Zhongjing.By combining the structure of SUN Simiao's Qian Jin Yao Fang and Qian Jin H Fang,as well as ZHANG Zhongjing's academic status in the Tang dynasty,it is proposed that the Tang dynasty's version of Shanghan Lun,as edited by SUN Qi,has departed from the original. This prompts a need to re-examine the dating of the Tang dynasty's version of Shanghan Lun,as well as the characteristics and literary value of the versions proposed based on it.Further exploration is also needed regarding the transmission of Shanghan Lun before the Song dynasty.
