Role of exosomes in the occurrence,development and treatment of emotional diseases
The emotional diseases of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)are mainly depression,madness,and visceral mania,which are corresponding to modern central nervous system diseases such as depression and anxiety.Therapeutic drugs cannot directly act on the target because of the blood-brain barrier,so there is an urgent need to develop more effective treatment methods.Exosomes play a very important role in intercellular communication and are used in the occurrence and development of central nervous system diseases,and their potential as disease diagnosis and treatment targets has gradually become prominent.This paper expounds the biological characteristics of exosomes,and discusses the potential of early diagnosis and targeted treatment of exosomes from two aspects of occurrence and development,diagnosis and treatment of emotional diseases.Finally,in connection with the relationship between TCM syndrome and exosomes,the prospect of exosomes as the biological basis of TCM disease and syndrome is prospected.
