Discussion on acupuncture for spastic hemiparesis after stroke from the perspective of'waggle needling relieving sinew contracture'
The theory of meridian sinew is of great significance in the treatment of spastic dyskinesia.It is an important intersection of traditional Chinese acupuncture and modern rehabilitation therapy.Spastic hemiparesis after stroke is a meridian sinew disease caused by the damage of the meridians and collaterals in the brain.Correspondingly,waggle needling is just the classic method of anti-spastic acupuncture acting on meridian sinew,which has a significant therapeutic effect on spastic hemiparesis after stroke.Around the theory of meridian sinew,this paper discusses the theory of Chinese medicine and the mechanism of modern medicine related to the effect of waggle needling on spastic hemiparesis after stroke from the three aspects,including qi and blood,yin and yang,as well as brain spirit.This paper also puts forward that we should pay attention to the organic combination of waggle needling and the stimulation sites suitable for brain-derived meridian sinew disease peripherally,give full play to the advantages of needling technique and the guiding significance of the meridian sinew theory,so as to improve the effect of'waggle needling relieving sinew contracture'.
