Analysis on the nomenclature connotation of Zhaohai(KI6)and its indication function in Zhenjiu Dacheng
Zhaohai(KI6)is the intersection point of eight veins,which connects to the Yinqiao vein.Through the textual research on the connotation of the specified terms and the alias of Zhaohai(KI6),the authors concluded that the nomenclature of this point was mainly based on the orientation,the characteristics of circulation,the special acupoint properties and the indications.It reflects the characteristics of Zhaohai(KI6)that qi is as grand as the sea,and meridian qi converges here.As the third summary in the history of the development of acupuncture and moxibustion,Zhenjiu Dacheng is of great significance to the study of acupoints.There are as many as 70 records about Zhaohai(KI6)in Zhenjiu Dacheng,which is of great value for exploring the indication role of Zhaohai(KI6).The authors compared the Ming edition of Zhenjiu Dacheng with Meridian and Acupoint Science and found that Zhaohai(KI6)point has a wider range of indications,mainly involving diseases such as the eye,spleen and stomach,limb meridians,psychology,and miscellaneous syndromes,which provides new ideas for its clinical application.
