Analysis of the classification characteristics of diseases in the Four Medical Classics
In order to explore the content and characteristics of disease classification in Tibetan medicine,to establish a modernized disease classification system in line with the theoretical and clinical characteristics of Tibetan medicine,and to better serve the cause of medicine,health and wellness.Based on the contents of the special chapter on classification of diseases in Chapter 12 of the Four Medical Classics·Discourses Medical Classics,the article analyzes and researches the three major classifications according to the etiology,dependency,and form in a more detailed manner,discovere that Tibetan medicine has'classification of cold and heat','classification of three causes','classification of four(five)sources','classification of eight branches','classification of fifteen clubs'and many other classification systems,these classification systems are interconnected and complementary to each other.In short,there has been a systematic disease classification system in Tibetan medicine since ancient times,and the classification method is not only in line with the clinical practice of Tibetan medicine theory,but also in line with the characteristics of modem scientific classification of diseases,which has important research value.
