Joint disease with a high rate of disability, most of them are found to have entered the advanced stage, which greatly reduces the cure rate. Thus, early diagnosis and treatment is particularly important. The most common types of arthritis include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gouty arthritis,etc..At present, the underlying pathogenesis is not clear. In recent years, the role of inflammation and apoptosis in the pathogenesis of joint diseases has been gradually paid attention to.Recent studies have shown that LncRNA is involved in apoptosis, chondrocyte extracellular matrix degradation, inflammatory response, autophagy and other processes, and it is expected to become a potential upstream therapeutic target for arthritis.Further studies have found that LncRNA exist stably and have specific expression in human body fluids.By directly acting on target genes or indirectly acting on target micro RNA(miRNA),LncRNA regulate the expression level of related signaling proteins, thus activating or inhibiting certain signaling pathways. It plays an important role in assisting diagnosis, guiding clinical medication and judging prognosis in the progression of arthritis. In this paper, the recent studies on the regulation of LncRNA in the development of arthritis through various inflammatory signaling pathways were elaborated and classified, the core problems and solutions of the current application of LncRNA in the field of arthritis treatment were summarized, and the application prospect of LncRNA as a potential therapeutic target in the prevention and treatment of arthritis was prospected.
