Pharmacodynamic study of Shuwei Jiangni Granules on hepato-stomach disharmony syndrome of gastro-esophageal reflux
OBJECTIVE To explore the curative effect of Shuwei Jiangni Granules(SJG)on hepato-stomach disharmony syndrome(HSDS)in gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD).METHODS The rat model of GERD was established by opera-tion.The effect of SJG on alleviating GERD was observed by weight,serum parameters and histopathology.Rat model of HSDS was established by a combination of hunger and satiety disorder and tail clamp stimulation.The effect of SJG on alleviating HSDS was observed through the changes of general status,serum parameters,pepsin activity and histopathology.RESULTS In rat model of GERD,as compared with sham-operation group,body weight and levels of motilin(MTL)and gastrin(GAS)declined markedly while the levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α),interleukin-4(IL-4)and nitric oxide(NO)spiked obviously in model control group.As compared with model control group,body weight and level of MTL/GAS showed an upward trend while the levels of TNF-α,IL-4 and NO dropped.Mucosal layer of lower esophagus improved somewhat.In rat model of HSDS,as compared with normal control group,body weight,food intake and level of MTL/GAS of model control group declined markedly while the levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT),vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP)and pepsin spiked.As compared with model control group,body weight,food intake and levels of MTL/GAS showed a rising trend while the levels of 5-HT,VIP and pepsin declined obviously.Gastric mucosal layer improved somewhat.CONCLUSION SJG may relieve GERD/HSDS and regulate immune responses and emotions of animals.
