An investigation on the development of outpatient pharmacy clinical in Hubei Province
OBJECTIVE To achieve a thorough understanding of the situation of Outpatient Pharmacy Clinics in Hubei Prov-ince.METHODS A systematic and normative questionnaire was formulated and distributed to different hospitals in Hubei via WeChat.The responses were collected and analyzed.RESULTS Though the hardware and software resources of most hospitals were sufficient and even surpassed the basic requirements for Outpatient Pharmacy Clinic,only 44 started services and 19 of them charged fees.The remainders failed to operate due to various reasons.The specialties accorded well with key provincial targeted diseases and won the recognitions of both physicians and patients at all levels.CONCLUSION Developing a novel category of clinical pharmacy-Outpatient Pharmacy Clinic has remained difficult.Both societal approvals and proper regulations are urgently required.
