Acute pancreatitis induced by oxaliplatin:one case report
Drug-induced pancreatitis is a rare disease char-acterized by specific reactions or hypersensitivity responses leading to pancreatic injuries. It results from abnormal interac-tions between drugs or their metabolites and human body.Oxaliplatin,a third-generation platinum-based anti-neoplasm agent,is commonly applied in combination with 5-fluorouracil and calcium folinate for colorectal cancer. The primary adverse reactions associated with oxaliplatin include dose-limiting peripheral neurotoxicity, gastrointestinal reactions and myelosuppression. There are few reports and discussions of its potential of inducing acute pancreatitis. This review focused upon one case of oxaliplatin-induced acute pancreati-tis.It was intended to provide references for managing adverse reactions.
