Retrospective Analysis on Participation of Clinical Pharmacists in Consultation of Anti-Infective Medication for Necrotizing Fasciitis
OBJECTIVE:Through comparison of retrospective subgroups of real clinical cases,to analyze the participation of clinical pharmacists in consultation of anti-infective medication for necrotizing fasciitis,so as to reflect the role of clinical pharmacists.METHODS:The case data of 101 inpatients with necrotizing fasciitis in the People's Hospital of Hezhou from Jun.2017 to Jun.2022 were collected and divided into consultation group(48 cases)and non-consultation group(53 cases)according to clinical pharmacists'consultation,the indicators of genders,ages,underlying diseases,distribution of departments,sites of infection,severity degrees,surgery situation,application of antibiotics,related hospitalization costs and prognoses were compared.RESULTS:Compared with the non-consultation group,the consultation group had serious infection degree,more underlying diseases,more cases of surgical intervention,more cases of mixed infection and longer hospital stay,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no difference between the two groups in the combined use of antibiotics,the use of special use grade antibiotics and restricted use grade antibiotics(P>0.05).The average duration of antibiotic use in the consultation group was longer than that in the non-consultation group,and the hospitalization cost was higher than that in the non-consultation group,but no statistical difference(P>0.05);However,the intensity of antibiotic use in the consultation group was lower than that in the non-consultation group.CONCLUSIONS:Participation of clinical pharmacists in the consultation of antiinfective drugs in necrotizing fasciitis patients is helpful to improve the therapeutic effect,which reflects the value of clinical pharmacists.
