Textual Research on Key Information of the Famous Classical Formula Suting Pills Based on Ancient Bibliometric Analysis
OBJECTIVE:To systematically review the relevant ancient and modern research literature of the classical formula Suting pills,to critically assess the key information and summarize the corresponding historical and contemporary application,so as to provide scientific foundation for in-depth research and development of subsequent compound formulations.METHODS:Bibliometrics methods were used to collect ancient books and modern clinical research literature related to Suting pills.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,the prescription source,function indication,composition,drug processing,usage and dosage and clinical research of Sutang pills were selected,with the aim of verifying its historical documentation and contemporary clinical applications.RESULTS:Through the retrieval of ancient books,it was found that Suting pills were first recorded in Golden Mirror of Medicine written by Wu Qian in the Qing Dynasty.Suting pills were composed of Perillae Fructus and Descurainiae Semen Lepidii Semen,with effects of purging lung and relieving asthma.As it was passed down from generation to generation,the composition and efficacy and treatment basically continued to this day,with slight changes in the dosage and method of administration.Suting pills were often used in combination of other prescriptions to treat diseases of the cardiovascular,cerebrovascular,and respiratory systems in modern applications.CONCLUSIONS:Through the analysis of ancient and modern literature of Suting pills,the key common issues related to the prescription source,drug base,processing specifications,efficacy,usage and dosage of Suting pills are clarified,and a summary of its modern clinical applications is provided.This study provides a reference for the preparation development and subsequent in-depth research of Suting pills.
