Clinical Re-Evaluation on Centrally Purchased Cefuroxime Sodium for Injection in Preventing Infection After Cesarean Section:A Real-world Study
OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of centrally purchased cefuroxime sodium for injection and imported cefuroxime sodium for injection in preventing infection after cesarean section.METHODS:A total of 280 patients undergoing cesarean section in obstetrics of Tongzhou Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital of Beijing from Jul.2021 to May 2022 were retrospectively selected to be grouped according to different types of antibiotics.Group A was given imported cefuroxime sodium for injection in preventing infection, and group B received centrally purchased cefuroxime sodium for injection in preventing infection.Effect of infection prevention and incidence of adverse drug reactions were compared between two groups.RESULTS:There was no significant difference between two groups in amount of bleeding during surgery, treatment course of antibiotics and length of stay(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the ratio of leukocytes and neutrophils between two groups at 24 hours after surgery(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the number of fever cases and postoperative infection rate(puerperal infection, incision infection and urinary system infection)between two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of adverse drug reactions in both groups was lower, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).CONCLUSIONS:Compared with imported cefuroxime sodium for injection, the efficacy and safety of centrally purchased cefuroxime sodium for injection are comparable in the prevention of postoperative infection after cesarean section.Due to the lower cost and higher economy,it can be widely used in the prevention of infection after cesarean section.
