摘要

中国作为联合国创始成员国和联合国安理会常任理事国,其官方语言中文却在以联合国为核心的国际协作与交流中频频缺席,造成中文这一使用现状的原因究竟为何?本研究以联合国贸易和发展会议(贸发会议)和联合国粮食及农业组织(粮农组织)为例,通过对23位工作人员进行结构式访谈和开放式访谈,关注中文为何在国际组织工作使用中缺席,并从语言政策、语言价值和语言选择这三个维度展开讨论,发现国际组织中中文使用弱势的原因有三:一是联合国缺乏对中文作为组织工作语言的清晰认定;二是国际组织内中文的经济价值偏弱;三是中文国际推广的方式缺乏新意.针对上述原因,本文对中文摆脱这一缺席困境提出相应建议.

Abstract

In today's international society,international organizations are becoming the main means and force of collaboration in the international community.What is the current status of the use of Chinese in interna-tional organizations?What are the reasons for the current situation of Chinese language use in international organizations'?This study conducted structured and unstructured interviews with 23 staff members of UN or-ganizations to clarify the current situation of Chinese language use in international organizations,and analyzed the situation from the framework of language policy,language value and language choice.The analysis is based on the framework of language policy,language value and language choice.
