日本方言景观与方言纪念品:历史、地理和经济的视角

本文从经济视角考察日本的方言景观.方言景观指的是对方言的景观利用,可以分为"可购方言"和"不可购方言".前者包括方言纪念品,如标注方言的明信片、毛巾、手机链和徽章;后者包括方言命名和方言信息,自20世纪末以来通过商业区、购物中心和公共设施等的命名得到推广,并具有营造亲切感的功能.随着方言的逐步衰退,方言的社会形象也发生了变化,从原来的"根除"转变为现在的"描述"以及娱乐性利用等.进入21世纪20年代以后,方言景观出现了减少的倾向,这可能源于2011年的东日本大地震和2019年开始的新冠疫情.本文基于过去几十年收集的多元化方言景观数据,分析方言活力的持续性问题并在理论上进行总结.
Dialect Landscape and Souvenirs:From the Perspective of History,Geography and Economy
Economical utilization of dialect can be divided into two types.Typical of"buyable dialects"are di-alect souvenirs,such as dialect picture postcards and dialect hand towels,which were produced before World War Ⅱ.Currently,dialect cell phone straps and dialect badges are being produced.A typical example of"unbuyable dialect"is dialect naming,which has spread to shopping malls,shopping centers,and public fa-cilities since the end of the 20th century.Dialect message is also utilized recently.It has the function of crea-ting a sense of familiarity.Dialect landscapes appeared to be increasing,while changing their form.Howev-er,in the 2020s,there is also a trend toward a decrease compared to previous data.This may be a temporary phenomenon due to economic conditions,such as the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 and the temporary stagnation of tourism due to the COVID-19 disaster starting in 2019.In this paper,we will discuss the con-tinued vitality of dialects based on data.To this end,we will synthesize a large amount of diverse data on dia-lectal landscapes collected over the past several decades.It will also be summarized theoretically.
