From"Other-construction"to"Self-construction":Characteristics of Term System in Civil Code of the PRC and Its Construction of China's Image of Rule of Law
For a long time,China's image of the rule of law has been constructed by the western discourse,which cannot accurately and completely express and explain China's practice of rule of law.The key to"self-constructing"China's contemporary image of the rule of law is the effective dissemination of China's dis-course.The Civil Code is an important discourse resource for"self-constructing"China's image,and its term system is essential for discourse formation.The central term,the right-centered term,the multi-source term and the text of the term system of the Civil Code show the systematic characteristics of thematic repre-sentation,knowledge systematization,concept pluralism and textual generation respectively.These system-atic characteristics have played a fundamental role in the construction of the discourse system of the Civil Code from four aspects:the prominence of discourse theme,the construction of discourse logic,the enrich-ment of discourse content and the generation of discourse form,and have constructed the image of China's rule of law with humanistic,systematic,colorful and scientific characteristics.
