Policy Analysis of Educational Support Services for Children with Language Disorder at Home and Abroad
Language disorders are the most common developmental issue among preschool children,signifi-cantly impacting their ability to communicate socially and leading to serious challenges in their future academic performance.Improving the language skills of children with such disorders requires substantial sup-port from national special education services.This paper begins by reviewing the categories of special needs children addressed by educational policies in different countries and regions.It then provides a comparative a-nalysis of the support policies for children with language disorders.Based on the findings and the current sit-uation,several recommendations are proposed for enhancing education support services in China:raising awareness of the importance of language development in children and prioritizing primary language disorders;improving service models through multidisciplinary and multi-agency cooperation;training professionals in language support services;raising quality standards for inclusive education;and developing a comprehensive,multi-tiered service system.
