A case of corneal ulcer caused by Purpureocillium lilacinum
The patient was a 24-years-old male,due to"photophobia,itching,and unclear vision in the right eye"for more than a month,he received outpatient treatment on September 16,2022,The right eye was implanted with an artificial lens before.After this trauma,the conjunctiva was mixed with congestion,central corneal ulcer,and epithelial bullous changes.Filamentous fung isolated from corneal ulcer tissue samples was identified as Purpureocillium lilacinum by mass spectrome-try,and been confirmed by rDNA ITS sequencing.Antifungal therapy with voriconazole was effective.When the condition improved,the patient was discharged.
