A case of chromoblastomycosis with pseudoblister as the main manifestation caused by Fonsecaea monophora
A case of chromoblastomycosis with pseudoblister as the main manifestation is reported.The patient was a 77 year old female with red plaque and scab on her left forearm for 4 years.Histopathology showed mixed inflammatory cell in-filtration and muriform cells.Brown black colonies could be seen in the tissue Sabaouraud's medium at 28 ℃,the center was gray black,and the growth of colonies was slow.Cladospora and Rhinocladiella were mixed in small culture.The molecu-lar sequencing alignment was F.monophora.Oral itraconazole 200 mg/d and terbinafine hydrochloride tablets 250 mg/d was given for 4 months,then changed to oral itraconazole 200 mg/d for 3 months.Combined with hyperthermia therapy,the skin lesions were basically cured,and there was no recurrence during follow-up.
