Two cases of atypical tinea corporis caused by Microsporum canis
Case 1,a 36-year-old male,developed multiple round or oval reddish papules on the neck and chest with pruri-tus for 5 days.Multiple scratches were visible on the left forearm.Case 2,a 6-year-old boy,developed singular red folliculi-tis on his right lower eyelid with tenderness and pruritus for 2 weeks.According to the fungal direct fluorescent microscopy,fungal culture and strain Mass Spectrometry analysis,the both isolated strains were identified as Microsporum canis.The patients were treated with terbinafine or bifonazole for 2 weeks and recovered completely.
