Analysis of fungal fluorescence staining and dermatoscopy characteristics in 72 children with tinea capitis
Objective To study the characteristics of different clinical types of tinea capitis using fungal fluorescence stai-ning microscopy combined with dermatoscopy,in order to provide accurate and rapid diagnostic basis for clinical practice.Method Seventy-two children cases with tinea capitiswere collected.Using fluorescence staining combined with dermatosco-py to observe the main characteristics of tinea sctinea capitisalp, and to observe whether the fluorescence staining method and dermatoscopy special characterization of these cases turned negative at the same time after treatment.Result According to clinical characteristics,72 children with tinea capitis were mainly diagnosed with tinea alba, accounting for 58.33%(42/72);The positive rate of fluorescence staining was 100%,with the proportion of exospores at 62.50%(45/72);Dermato-scopic examination showed that tinea capitis was mainly characterized by broken hair(90.48%),while kerion was mainly characterized by pustules(100%),with comma hair/spiral hair/barcode like hair as special features. The follow-up rate was 59.72%(43/72).Conclusion Fungal fluorescence staining combined with dermatoscopy examination can make rapid and ac-curate diagnosis of tinea capitis and its clinical types.
