Research on the current situation and related influencing factors of fungal skin diseases in a certain military unit
Objective To explore the current situation and related influencing factors of fungal skin diseases in a certain military unit.Method A total of 1 330 soldiers with fungal skin diseases admitted to a certain military hospital from Decem-ber 2022 to December 2023 were selected.Clinical data were retrospectively analyzed, and 595 soldiers with fungal skin dis-eases were included in the skin disease group, while 735 soldiers without fungal skin diseases were included in the healthy group.Analyze the incidence of fungal skin diseases among military officers and soldiers, and conduct univariate and multi-variate analyses on the influencing factors.Result Among the 1330 military soldier,a total of 595 suffered from fungal skin diseases, accounting for 44.74%(595/1 330);among them, tinea pedis accounted for 25.79%(343/1330),tinea cruris ac-counted for 6.84%(91/1 330),onychomycosis accounted for 8.95%(119/1 330),tinea manus accounted for 6.32%(84/1330),and tinea corporis accounted for 1.05%(14/1 330).Through univariate analysis, there were statistically significant differences(P<0.05)between the skin disease group and the healthy group in terms of age, identity, mixing towels/basins with others or wearing clothes/shoes and socks with others, frequency of changing socks, and history of fungal diseases.Through multiple logistic regression analysis, age, identity, frequency of changing socks, and history of fungal diseases were independent risk factors for fungal skin diseases in military officers and soldiers(P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence of fungal skin diseases in the military is relatively high, and age, identity, frequency of changing socks, and family history of fungal diseases are risk factors. It is necessary to strengthen the popularization of relevant disease prevention knowledge and the cultivation of good personal hygiene habits.
