Nursing experience of a case of extremely low birth weight infants with candidemia and scalded skin syn-drome
Objective To summarize the treatment and nursing experience of candidemia and scalded skin syndrome in an extremely low birth weight infant.Methods Set up a nursing term.A strategy for preventing skin infection was formulated to prevent and control hospital infection;skin care experience was summarized to cultivate predictive thinking;skin care as-sessment was fully carried out to reduce the risk of systemic infection;personalized home care guidance was formulated for the peri-discharge period;and extended care was continued after discharge.Results The child was discharged after 108 days of hospitalization and followed up for 2 months,and the growth and development indicators and nervous system development were normal.Conclusions The outcome of fungal infection in extremely low birth weight infants can be improved by setting up a case nursing team,formulating a skin care plan,strictly implementing the disinfection and isolation system,and con-trolling the humidity of incubators.
