Correlation analysis of narrow band imaging laryngoscope diagnosis and pathology in laryngeal leukoplakia
Objective To explore whether the narrow band imaging(NBI)electronic laryngoscope observe intraepithelial capillary loops of laryngeal mucosal can guide the selection of treatment methods for patients with laryngeal leukoplakia. Methods Clinical data of 68 patients with laryngeal leukoplakia from June 2019 to September 2021 were selected as the research object.According to the diagnostic results of NBI electronic laryngoscope, the patients were divided into two groups:benign lesion group(52/68)and malignant lesion group(16/68).The consistency of NBI laryngoscopy diagnosis and pathological examination was compared. Results In the benign lesion group, the pathological diagnoses included 35 cases(67.31%)of squamous epithelial hyperplasia with keratosis,9 cases(17.31%)of mild atypical hyperplasia,3 cases(5.77%)of moderate atypical hyperplasia and 5 cases(9.62%)of carcinoma in situ.In the malignant lesion group, there were 2 cases(12.50%)of moderate atypical hyperplasia,1 case(6.25%)of severe atypical hyperplasia,9 cases(56.25%)of carcinoma in situ and 4 cases of invasive carcinoma(25.00%).Kappa consistency test was used,k=0.687,P<0.001,indicating that the diagnosis of NBI electronic laryngoscope were consistent with pathological diagnosis. Conclusions NBI electronic laryngoscope can well distinguish the nature of laryngeal leukoplakia, and has high guiding significance for the selection of treatment methods and the follow-up observation of the progress of laryngeal leukoplakia.
