A prospective study on the long-term therapeutic effect of Sinusitis Oral Solution on recurrence of lesion among patients with chronic sinusitis
Objective To observe the long-term therapeutic effect of Sinusitis Oral Solution(SOS)on recurrence of the lesion among patients with chronic sinusitis.Method Included in this trial were 130 patients suffering from chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps following nasal endoscopic surgery in our hospital from Jan.2018 to Jun.2021.They were randomly divided into observation group(OG)and control group(CG),with 65 cases in each.During the period of postoperative treatment lasted for 3 months, cases in CG were given routine nasal irrigation with normal saline and locally used glucocorticoid nasal spray, while those in OG were treated by nasal irrigation with SOS plus locally used glucocorticoid nasal spray during the whole postoperative treatment period.By the end of postoperative treatment period, comparatively observed were the clinical efficacy,VAS scores of symptoms and nasal mucosal ciliary motility(NMCM).Then, all cases in both groups were followed up for 6 months to observe the long-term therapeutic effect on the condition in a comparative way between the 2 groups. Results The total effective rate in OG was 96.92%,significantly higher than that in CG(84.13%),with significantly statistical significance in the difference(P<0.05).By the end of therapeutic course,VAS scores of patients in OG were significantly lower than that in CG(P<0.05),with NMCM in OG significantly higher than that in CG(P<0.05).When the following up period ended,it was found that the recurrence rate of lesion in OG was 10.77%,significantly lower than that in CG(23.08%),with a markedly statistical significance(P<0.05)between them. Conclusion Sinusitis Oral Solution should be very effective in the treatment of chronic sinusitis, especially helpful to the postoperative recovery via improving nasal mucosal ciliary motor function to reduce the recurrence rate in a longer period.
