A study on the effect of transcervical partial resection of lingual root combined with palatopharyngoplasty in the treatment of severe glossopharyngeal plane obstruction OSAHS
Objective To investigate the effect of transcervical partial resection of the tongue root combined with palatopharyngoplasty in the treatment of severe OSAHS caused by obstruction of the glossopharyngeal plane. Methods Thirty five patients with severe OSAHS due to glossopharyngeal plane stenosis were selected, and the changes of important indexes before and after the operation were analyzed. Results PSG examination was performed half a year after operation.AHI:before operation 64.628±19.017(times/h)、after operation 18.922±19.532(times/h),P=0(P<0.01);The lowest blood oxygen:before operation 67.114±8.927(%)、after operation 78.257±8.762(%),P<0.01;The free edge area of epiglottic plane:before operation 265.217±77.543(mm2)、after operation 364.917±134.557(mm2),P=0(P<0.01);The anteroposterior diameter of free edge of epiglottic plane:before operation 10.962±3.075(mm)、after operation 12.688±4.682(mm),P=0.001(P<0.01);The left and right diameter of the free edge of epiglottic plane:before operation 24.814±6.321(mm)、after operation 27.748±5.400(mm),P=0.001(P<0.01).Conclusion The treatment of severe OSAHS caused by obstruction of the glossopharyngeal plane by partial resection of the lingual root through external cervical approach combined with palatopharyngoplasty has obvious effect.
