Clinical observation on the improvement of radiotherapy adverse effects in locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma with Ziyin Yikou liquid
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Ziyin Yikou Liquid in reducing the adverse reactions to radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods From January 2020 to June 2023,40 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma stage Ⅲ-Ⅳa who were initially diagnosed in our hospital were randomly divided into control group and study group. The control group received synchronous radiotherapy and chemotherapy combined with Nimotuzumab treatment mode,while the study group received a comprehensive treatment mode of synchronous radiotherapy and chemotherapy combined with Nimotuzumab and Ziyin Yikou Liquid. The difference in the evaluation of therapeutic effect (primary lesion,cervical lymph node metastases,and EBV-DNA),the inflammatory indicators (TNF-α),physical fitness performance (albumin decrease,weight loss,KPS scores),acute adverse reactions (acute oral mucositis,acute radiation dermatitis,xerostomia,saliva volume),myelosuppression and pain conditions between the two groups were researched in our study. Results There is no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of tumor efficacy,EBV-DNA and KPS scores (P>0.05). The control group showed higher levels of TNF-α,decreased albumin and saliva volume,acute oral mucositis,acute radiation dermatitis,xerostomia,myelosuppression,pain and weight loss compared to the study group after treat,all P<0.05. Conclusions Ziyin Yikou Liquid has a significant effect in reducing the adverse reactions of concurrent?chemoradiotherapy for local advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma,and the therapeutic modalities should be clearing heat and nourishing Yin during radiotherapy.
