Analysis of the composition and diversity of gastric microbiome in patients with gastric cancer
Objective:To analyze the composition and diversity of gastric microbiome in patients with gastric cancer by 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing. Methods:Fifteen gastric cancer patients who attended our hos-pital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as gastric cancer(GC)group, and the control group in-cluded 2 subgroups of atrophic gastritis complicated with intestinal metaplasia(IM)and healthy control(HC),with 15 cases in each of the 2 subgroups.Gastric mucosal samples were collected,16S rRNA high-throughput se-quencing technology was used to detect the composition and diversity of gastric microbiome in three groups.Re-sults:There was no significant difference in Alpha diversity between the three groups(P>0.05),but there was a significant difference in Beta diversity(P<0.05).LEfSe analysis found that the abundance of Corynebacterium,Vagococcus and Streptococcus in the gastric cancer group was statistically significant(P<0.05).The abundance of Prevotella and Devosia in the group of atrophic gastritis and intestinal metaplasia was statistically signifi cant(P<0.05).Conclusion:There are significant differences between the composition and diversity of gastric mi-crobiome in gastric cancer patients and control, and Corynebacterium,Vagococcus and Streptococcus may be relat-ed to the occurrence and development of gastric cancer.
