Pathologic mechanism of"lung and intestines treated together"Xuanbaichengqi Decoction in intervening early lung injury in severe acute pancreatitis
Objective:To investigate the effect of Xuanbaichengqi Decoction,which is a"lung and intestinal treatment",on early lung injury in severe acute pancreatitis.Methods:Eighty SD rats were randomly divided into control group,model group,Xuanbaichengqi Decoction group,Xuanbai group and Chengqi group,16 rats in each group.Except for the control group,the SAP model was prepared by pancreaticobiliary injection of sodium tauro-glycocholate in each group,and four rats were executed at each time point of 3,6,12,and 24 h after modeling to obtain the materials,and the pathological manifestations of the pancreas,lung,and intestinal tissues of the rats and the levels of the pro-inflammatory factors IL-1β,IL-6,and TNF-α were observed.Results:The pathological changes were similar in the Xuanbai and Chengqi groups,and the Xuanbaichengqi Decoction group was significant-ly better than the Xuanbai and Chengqi groups(P<0.05).At all time points,the levels of IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α were significantly higher in the model group than in the control group,and significantly lower in the traditional Chinese medicine groups than in the model group,and the Xuanbaichengqi Decoction group was superior to the Xuanbai and Chengqi groups(P<0.05).Except for the control group,the levels of IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α in the remaining groups reached the peak at the 12 h.Conclusion:The intestinal tract plays a key role in the pathogenesis and prevention of SAP-ALI,and Xuanbaichengqi Decoction can significantly reduce the inflammation level of SAP-ALI and delay the development of the disease through the treatment of lung and intestines together.
