Observation on the clinical effect of Yiqi Jiedu Liangxue combined with Western Medicine in treating pyogenic liver abscess
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Yiqi Jiedu Liangxue combined with Western Medicine in the treatment of pyogenic liver abscess.Methods:A total of 61 inpatients with pyogenic liver abscess admitted to Beijing Ditan Hospital from January 2020 to October 2023 were selected.According to 1:2,the patients were randomly divided into two groups,the integrated Chinese and Western Medicine group and the control group.For-ty-one cases in the control group were given Western Medicine treatment,and 20 cases in the integrated Chinese and Western Medicine group were treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine decoction for Yiqi Jiedu Liangxue on the basis of the control group.The course of treatment was 2-4 weeks,and the clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared.Results:The temperature was normal and liver abscess was improved of both groups after treat-ment.No death cases were reported.In the first week,the proportion of patients with reduced liver abscess diam-eter in the integrated Chinese and Western Medicine group was 85.0％(17/20),which was better than that in the control group 58.5％(24/41)(P＜0.05).The antibiotic cumulative defined daily doses(cDDDs)in the integrated Chinese and Western Medicine group was 23.48±15.07,which was better than that in the control group(33.52± 21.12)(P＜0.05).After the second week of treatment,WBC,Neu,NLR,PCT and CRP in both groups were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment(all P＜0.05);at the third week,compared with the control group,lymphocyte count in the integrated Chinese and Western Medicine group was increased and NLR was significantly decreased(all P＜0.05).At the first week of treatment,ALT,AST and GGT in the two groups were significantly decreased compared with that before treatment,and at the second week of treatment,ALT,AST and GGT in the combined Chinese and Western Medicine group were significantly decreased,compared with the control group at the same time point(all P＜0.05).Conclusion:Yiqi Jiedu Liangxue decoction combined with Western Medicine can accelerate the absorption of liver abscess,promote the reduction of body and liver inflamma-tion,and reduce the use of antibiotics.
