Clinical observation on the combination of traditional Chinese medicine staging therapy and vitilizumab in the treatment of moderate to severe ulcerative colitis and its regulatory effect on the pathogenesis
Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and regulatory role of traditional Chinese medicine staging therapy combined with Ved in the treatment of moderate to severe ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods:Forty patients who met the criteria were randomly divided into a treatment group(20 cases)and a control group(20 cases). The treatment group divided each patient's disease course into three stages based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and treatment:attack stage, recovery stage, and stable stage.Corresponding traditional Chinese medicine treatment was given according to the characteristics of each stage, while Ved was combined; The control group was given Ved.Evaluate the changes in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score,Mayo score, fecal calprotectin(FC),serum superoxide dismutase(SOD),protein C system(PC),and ther-apeutic effect before and after treatment in two groups. Results:After treatment, the above scores and indicators in the two groups showed significant improvement compared to before treatment(P<0.01,P<0.05);Compari-son between groups after treatment:There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of anal burning sensation, tongue pulse,Mayo score, and endoscopic efficacy after treatment(P>0.05).After treat-ment,the treatment group outperformed the control group in terms of TCM syndrome main symptom score,FC,SOD,PC expression,TCM syndrome efficacy, and clinical efficacy(P<0.01,P<0.05).Conclusion:The combi-nation of traditional Chinese medicine staging therapy and Ved has an ideal therapeutic effect on moderate to severe UC compared to Ved alone. Its mechanism of action is related to inhibiting intestinal inflammation levels,regula-ting oxidative reactions, and coagulation abnormalities.
